Bettye Downey Memorial Teacher Assistance Grant
Mrs. Jones teaches over 700 students throughout the school year, ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade. For many of her students, art time is especially meaningful, as they often lack access to creative resources and opportunities at home.
This grant enabled Mrs. Jones to purchase essential art supplies, making it possible for students to fully participate in their school art shows. One highlight was a vibrant fluorescent/neon project featured in the “Under the Sea” room. Throughout the year, students also created a variety of other inspiring pieces.
